He graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University (1998). In 1998-2005, he worked in the Prague office of the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges, first as a junior lawyer, and, on passing his bar exams with honors (in 2002), as a senior attorney at law.
In his practice, he specialises on a long term basis in company law, civil and family law and litigation including criminal cases. Tomáš Pelikán came as the second based on an expert jury vote in the competition Lawyer of the Year 2005 of the epravo.cz company in the field of real estate.
In the field of company law, Tomáš Pelikán provided legal advice on a number of large mergers and acquisitions, including the privatization of large enterprises, purchase of companies from bankruptcy assets, company restructuring and other options of dealing with bankruptcy.
